Your Fall Winter Collection showcases some stunning outfits in digital and architectural prints. What inspired you for the same?

Intricate architectural designs and structure are something that have inspired me through my childhood from all the places I travelled. Architectural prints reflect in most of my designs and collections. My areas of specialization and techniques I use include my ability to play around with drapes and cuts keeping in mind the feminine curves and sensuality. Innovation in concepts like lycra held between jaali work of thin metal and thin brass plates with intrinsic work inspired from the old Mughal architecture also define my design philosophy.

What do you think of this trend?

For me as a designer and also the person I am, digital prints have been one fresh take on fashion that I love incorporating in my outfits. Vibrant and beautiful, these digital prints run the gamut from beautiful landscapes, architectural structures and celestial skies to everyday objects like balloons and brightly wrapped candies. Today the trend is not just limited to outfits, its popping up on everything – shoes, bags, home décor, paintings , stationery, curtains, etc are just to name a few. Prints have always been and will remain in vogue for many forthcoming seasons.

What are the key things one should keep in mind while wearing the same?

One must not mix two prints while wearing this trend along with giving maximum focus on the print and keeping the other things simple and elegant. For e.g.: A printed crop top would work great when paired with solid coloured maxi skirts or pallazo’s.

Do give tips on how to flaunt digital and architectural prints this winter for these different looks:

Casual: A digitally printed day dress would work wonders this season or to keep it ultra- casual, a printed tee with denims.

Corporate: Pick a few stoles in different patterns and colours to complete your winter work wear. Shirts and jackets paired with beautiful stoles and scarves will be the best bet.

Party: Carry an elegant digitally printed clutch with the LBD

College: Go bold by flaunting a tote in digital prints, from florals to resembling artworks to a burst of patterns and colours, there is no dearth of digital prints that are available.
